To Find Site:
Leave the A4 autoroute at junction 31 and head towards Verdun. As you approach Verdun the campsite is well signed (The campsite is not far from the Citadelle if you need a point to aim for)

Camping Les Breuils is handy if you are travelling from Germany into France, Verdun is between Metz and Reims.
The campsite has just under 200 pitches set amongst mature surrounding. The pitches radiate out from the entrance where the reception is, this includes a bar and a small shop - you can order bread for the morning.
Outside reception to one side is a play area (for older children/young adults there is a separate area towards the end of the site for volleyball/football) and across the road the other way is a rather nice swimming pool with slide.
There are two good quality toilet blocks.
Pitches are of a good size and are either on grass or gravel.

On site there is a small lake with pitches arranged around the edge.

This site accepts the ACSI Card which allows a one night stay for €13.50.

Our only regret about this site was that we could not stay for longer.
Whilst this campsite is useful as an overnight stop it would make a nice site to stay for a few days or longer. The centre of Verdun is within walking distance. There is a large Cora supermarket between the campsite and the autoroute. The area surrounding Verdun is steeped in history, particularly the epic First World War Battle.

To Find Site: Exit A31 at junction 33 and head towards Centre Ville, crossing Pont des Morts over the River Moselle the campsite in on the river bank to the left. Once over the bridge the road bares to the right and you have to take the first left to join the road towards the bridge but take the last right before bridge to campsite. (NB. Our visit was late June 2012 and there are many roadworks being undertaken both on the motorway and in the vicinity of the campsite so routes may vary whilst the work is in progress)

This popular Municipal Campsite is situated on the banks of the River Moselle in an urban area and within easy walking distance of the fine City of Metz. The site is long and narrow with about 3/4 rows of pitches from the river to the back of the site. In total there are about 110 pitches with electrics and additional pitches on the river bank usually used by tents that don’t need electrics. There is also a reasonably gentle slope from the back of the site to the pitches along the river so some levelling will be required. All pitches are on grass with the exception of a few on tarmac for motorhomes. They are quite well sized and some have serviced connections. Electrical connects are by way of CEE17 blue plugs and are rated at 10 amps. Perhaps best to check for reverse polarity. Long leads may be required from some pitches. There are two toilet blocks which are not the most modern but they are kept clean and are perfectly functional. All toilets are of the pedestal type but only one block has seats! Toilet paper is provided but not in the actual cubicles. About half way along the site is a small restaurant/snack bar with a small shop attached. Free WiFi is available but I found I needed my signal amplifier to get a good connection. There is a Municipal indoor swimming pool next to the site and details of free entry can be obtained from reception. Depending on the time of year this site can be very busy and is often full by early evening, best to arrive early to secure a reasonable pitch. There is a large daily turnover of pitches as many only stay one night. Given the nature of the campsite it is perhaps more suited for shorter stays.

The City Centre of Metz is only a few minutes walk from the campsite and reception give out a handy map of the local attractions. Certainly close enough for an evening stroll to one of the many restaurants. One thing we particularly liked was the Covered Market which its wonderful food stalls. Given the size of Metz there will be many supermarkets and fuel stations within easy reach of the site.
